Aumenta la velocidad del flujo sanguíneo y reduce la estasis venosa, al proporcionar un gradiente de compresió n decreciente de distal a proximal, médicamente recomendado.
Forma y adaptación anatómica, gracias a su tejido especial de elevada elasticidad en dos sentidos, longitudinal y transversal, se ajusta perfectamente a la pierna .
Se adapta a las distintas medidas de cada paciente garantizando y manteniendo el gradiente de presión requerido.
Confortable, agradable para la piel y al tacto:
Tejido de forma circular sin costuras.
Tejido permeable al aire, por lo que permite una buena ventilación, impide la acumulación de calor y no irrita la piel.
No se mueve, no se cae ni forma pliegues, gracias a su banda antideslizante en el muslo (incluso cuando el paciente empieza a realizar ejercicios de movilización precoz).
Talón entretejido por separado:
Permite una fácil y correcta colocación de la media.
Previene constricción y deslizamiento de la zona dorsal.
Reduce el desgaste por roce alargando la duración de la media.
Fácil de colocar y cambiar, debido a su elevada capacidad de estiramiento.
Práctico seguimiento, ya que la apertura en el dorso de los dedos permite controlar la correcta circulación sanguínea y facilita las palpaciones de forma fácil y rápida.
Códigos de color para facilitar la elección de la talla, clasificar después del lavado e identificar de un vistazo.

Indicaciones:
Profilaxis de la Trombosis Venosa Profunda en pacientes quirúrgicos y en pacientes que requieran prolongados periodos de inmovilización.
INSTRUCCIONES DE USO:
Para conseguir un efecto óptimo, las medias antiembólicas, deben adaptarse a las dimensiones de la pierna. Para la determinación de la talla correcta se requieren las siguientes medidas:
Anchura: Anchura de la pantorrilla en su mayor perímetro (medida c).
Longitud: Longitud de la pierna desde el talón hasta el pliegue del glúteo (A-C).
En base a los valores medidos y con ayuda de la tabla suministrada por el fabricante se selecciona el tamaño de media adecuado.
Las medias antiembólicas sólo deben colocarse con el paciente en decúbito, sin presencia de edema, asegurándonos que la piel está seca y limpia, ya que ciertos ingredientes de lociones y cremas pueden afectar las fibras y por lo tanto su eficacia.
INSTRUCCIONES DE LAVADO Y DESINFECCIÓN:
Mantiene el gradiente de presión incluso después de 10 lavados, conservando su efectividad terapéutica, bajo condiciones recomendadas:
85ºC durante 15 minutos (con detergente).
60ºC durante 15 minutos (con ácido peroxiacético 60 mL/kg) Procedimiento químico-térmico.
90ºC durante 10 minutos (con H2O2) Procedimiento térmico.
